Method
For the meatballs:
Preheat oven to 180°.
Combine all the ingredients using your hands.
Roll into even sized balls and place on a baking tray.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through and browned on the outside.
For the sandwich:
Toast the rye bread.
Place the toast on a plate and sprinkle the fried onion on top.
On top of the onions, place three meatballs.
Place a slice of cheddar cheese over the top of the sandwich and place under the grill until the cheese has melted.
Serve with freshly made side salad, potato salad and ligonberry jam.

250g sausage meat
250g beef mince
1 finely chopped, softened onion
1 tsp all spice
1 tsp celery salt
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp ginger
½ tsp ground coriander
50g breadcrumbs
100ml milk
1 tbsp plain yoghurt
1 egg
For the sandwich:
1 slice of rye bread
Sliced fried onions
Slices of cheddar cheese
Ligonberry jam
